Sheesh..apology owed
Between travel, lots of work, and respiratory problems (recurring bronchitis and low grade pneumonia) I realized I've been away from Amber for night on 5 months. So if Pwyll hasn't been deleted I'll be logging in soon and hope to work to mend relationships left hanging.
On that note, an attempt at an IC explanation (more holes than explanation, so feel free to offer)
During the battle for Amber Pwyll was gathering wyvvern stingers for anti-poison potions in the forest when he was ambushed and knocked unconscious. When he woke he was laying in a bed with scars on his wrists and ankles, seeming from repeated cuts from chain cuffs, though he wore none when he awoke. The bed was in a small cottage on a forested island in a shadow he did not recognize. His posessions were in a plain bag at the foot of the bed as was a letter:
"We'll talk later. For now, when you are ready to leave exit the house and follow the path to the clearing in the forest. Once there walk clockwise around the stone standing in the center of the clearing.". The letter was unsigned.
After debating the wisdom of it he decided to go ahead and follow the directions. The clockwise walk seemed to be a shadow path that deposited him in a forest outside of a city he knew in shadow. There he managed to quickly acquire a ship and sailed back to return the Amber, hoping not to find it in ruins.
